The 4-Lexington Avenue Express is a train in the New York Subway's IRT division. In operates from Woodlawn station in the Bronx to Utica Avenue in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. It runs as a local in Bronx, express in Manhattan on the Lexington Avenue line along the 5 and 6, then express in Brooklyn.
The 4 is world-famous because it is the offical train of the New York Yankees. It has a stop at Yankee Stadium, at 161 Street. Several R62 and R142 cars running on this line have been decorated in Yankee logos and colors.
