720 degrees is a video game by Atari first for the arcade (1976), then later for the Nintendo Entertainment System (1989), and then for the Nintendo Gameboy color (1999).

720 is notable in that it is the first extreme sports video game.

It is a skateboarding game with 4 levels each consisting of four events:

  • Ramp
  • Downhill
  • Slalom
  • Jump

The object of the game is to get through all four levels by getting through all four events on each level.

A player earns points and money for high scores in each event.

The player must have enough points to enter each event.

Money can be used to buy better shoes, skateboards, helments and pads.

The game's catchphrase inspired another popular skating game, Electronic Arts' "Skate or Die", in 1987.
