Abe Lincoln in Illinois is a 1940 biographical film which tells the story of the life of Abraham Lincoln from his early days as a lawyer up until his election as President of the United States. It stars Raymond Massey, Gene Lockhart, Ruth Gordon, Mary Howard, Minor Watson, Alan Baxter, Harvey Stephens and Howard Da Silva.

The movie was adapted by Grover Jones and Robert E. Sherwood from the play by Sherwood. It was directed by John Cromwell.

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Raymond Massey) and Best Cinematography, Black-and-White.
