Adelina (Engargiola) Domingues (February 19, 1888 - August 21, 2002) was born in Cape Verde when it was a colony of Portugal, and married there.
However, she spent most of her life in the United States, where she succeeded another immigrant, Grace Clawson, as the oldest documented person when Mrs. Clawson died in May 2002.
