Alan Coren (born 1939) is a British writer and satirist. He attended Oxford, Yale and Berkeley universities and was editor of Punch from 1978 to 1987. He is a regular panellist on The News Quiz. He also written for Penthouse and The Daily Mail.

His daughter Victoria Coren followed him into humorous journalism.
