Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index Alan Davies (born 6 March 1966, in Essex) is a British comedian and actor. He won the Time Out award for Best Young Comic in 1991. In 1995 he appeared in the spoof travel show One for the Road and got his own radio show The Alan Davies Show in 1998. He has also starred in Jonathan Creek, Bob and Rose and A Many Splintered Thing. He has most recently appeared as the regular panellist in the BBC quiz game QI hosted by Stephen Fry. He is also hotly tipped to be the new Dr Who.
