Cattaraugus County, New York. As of the
2000 census, the Indian reservation had a total population of 1,099.
Geography
\nAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the Indian reservation has a total area of 113.1
km² (43.7
mi²). 94.2 km² (36.4 mi²) of it is land and 18.8 km² (7.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 16.65% water.

2000, there are 1,099 people, 410 households, and 280 families residing in the Indian reservation. The
population density is 11.7/km² (30.2/mi²). There are 459 housing units at an average density of 4.9/km² (12.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the Indian reservation is 42.13% White, 0.82%
African American, 53.78%
Native American, 0.45%
Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.18% from other races, and 2.64% from two or more races. 2.00% of the population are
Hispanic or
Latino of any race.
There are 410 households out of which 30.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.7% are married couples living together, 18.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.7% are non-families. 24.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 3.08.
