Ancaster, Ontario is a town with a population of roughly 28,000 (2001 census), located just west of Hamilton. Ancaster is the most western point of the Golden Horseshoe. Ancaster became part of the City of Hamilton in 2001.

Ancaster is mostly a bedroom community, with most residents working in Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga and Toronto.
