Apolo Nsibambi (born 1938) is the current prime minister of Uganda, a position he has held since 5 April 1999. He was previously education minister from May 1998 to April 1999 and minister of public services from 1996 to 1998.

Before becoming a minister he was the director of the Institute of Social Research at Makerere University.
