Apples in Stereo is an indie rock band associated with the innovative Elephant 6 Recording Company, a group of bands also including Neutral Milk Hotel, Secret Square and Olivia Tremor Control. Led by Robert Schneider, the band formed in Denver, Colorado with Jim McIntyre, Robert Parfitt and Hilarie Sidney. Their debut release was Apples in Stereo, followed by 1995's full-length Fun Trick Noisemaker.

Apples in Stereo has continued releasing albums throughout the 1990s, and their most recent release is 2002's Velocity of Sound.
