Argosy University/Seattle is one of 14 nationwide campuses of Argosy University, which was formed in 2001 through the merger of the American Schools of Professional Psychology, the Medical Institute of Minnesota, and the University of Sarasota. The Seattle campus was founded in 1995 as the Washington School of Professional Psychology. It consists of four divisions: the School of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, which offers the M.A in behavioral health counseling and a B.A completion program in psychology; the Washington School of Professional Psychology, which offers the Psy.D and M.A. in clinical psychology; the School of Education, which offers the M.A.Ed. and Ed.D in educational leadership and in curriculum and instruction; and the School of Business, which offers a B.S completion program in business administration as well as the M.B.A and the D.B.A in marketing and in management.

The campus is located at the southwest end of Lake Union at the base of Queen Anne Hill.
