Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 3,437 people, 1,246 households, and 914 families residing in the area. The population density is 175.3/km² (454.1/mi²). There are 1,282 housing units at an average density of 65.4/km² (169.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the area is 81.00% White, 12.28% African American, 0.23% Native American, 3.43% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.25% from other races, and 1.80% from two or more races. 3.52% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
