Auslan is the sign language of Australia. It is related to British Sign Language (BSL) and New Zeland Sign Language (NZSL). Like BSL and American Sign Language (ASL), Auslan is vastly different from spoken English: for instance, whereas in English the verb goes between the subject and object, in Auslan, the word order is much more flexible.
