Avni Arbaş (Istanbul, 1919 - Izmir, 2003) was a Turkish artist best known for his paintings taking their subjects from the daily life, Turkish independence war, Bosphorus, fishermen, horses and the nature. He died of cancer on October 16, 2003.

His granddaughter Derya Arbas (35) (a talented Turkish actress) also died of a heart attack, on October 22, 2003.
