Baldwin Locomotive Works was once a major manufacturer of steam locomotives. At the beginning of the 20th century it was the largest manufacturer of steam locomotives in the United States of America. Before going out of business it had merged with other locomotive manufacturers in 1950 to form Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corporation, but BLH ceased building locomotives in 1956.
