Battle of the Planets is an animated television cartoon originally produced in Japan under the name "Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatcha Man" (lit. Scientific Ninja Troop Gatcha Men).
The series was so heavily edited for western consumption as to become virtually unintelligible, though this did not stop it from becoming a favourite with the juvenile audience.
