BSS tried to start debate in order to reduce mass immigration from non-European countries. The membership consisted mainly of neo-Nazi and racist skinheads. BSS was founded in 1979 and after a failed election co-operation with Sverigepartiet they in 1986 joined with populist Framstegspartiet and later became Sverigedemokraterna.
