Blind Melon is the debut rock and roll album by Blind Melon, released on September 14, 1992 (see 1992 in music). Led by singer Shannon Hoon, Blind Melon had a distinctive traditional rock sound, influenced by Southern rock and psychedelic music. Blind Melon included their breakthrough single, "No Rain". Though the album was critically maligned as unoriginal and highly derivative, it was extremely popular and has remained a well-remembered album with a devoted fanbase.
