The racial makeup of the village is 98.47% White, 0.00% African American, 0.67% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.10% from other races, and 0.77% from two or more races. 0.38% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 424 households out of which 34.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.7% are married couples living together, 12.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.6% are non-families. 28.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.46 and the average family size is 3.08.
