Carmody Hills-Pepper Mill Village is a census-designated place located in Prince George's County, Maryland. The combination is arbitrary, and in the mind of most local people there are two separate communities: Carmody Hills and Pepper Mill Village.
As of the census of 2000, there are 4,801 people, 1,578 households, and 1,256 families residing in the area. The population density is 2,505.0/km² (6,501.9/mi²). There are 1,686 housing units at an average density of 879.7/km² (2,283.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the area is 1.46% White, 96.90% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 1.10% from two or more races. 0.50% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
