Charlie Sheen (born September 3, 1965) is an American actor.

He was born in New York City, a "blue baby" who needed immediate medical attention. His real name is Carlos Irwin Estevez. His father is Martin Sheen and his brother is Emilio Estevez.

Sheen's adult film career began in 1984, and his first major role was in Platoon (1986). In 1987, he starred with his father, Martin, in Wall Street. His private life has been dogged by trouble, including drugs and a shooting, and he has frequently been in trouble with the police.

He has recently played the lead role in the political television sitcom, Spin City. He now plays the role of Charlie on the sitcom Two and a Half Men, which debuted in 2003. He is married to another well-known actor, Denise Richards.
