Christopher Van Hollen (born January 10 1959), American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 2003, representing the 8th District of Maryland. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan, was educated at Swarthmore College, Harvard University and Georgetown University, and was a lawyer and a member of the Maryland House of Representatives and the Maryland Senate before entering the House.
