Christina Onassis, born December 11 1950 in New York City - died November 19 1988 in Argentina, was the daughter of the billionaire Aristotle Onassis and Athina Mary Lavanis. She had one brother, Alexander Onassis (1948 - 1973), who died in a plane crash.

She was an awkward looking child. At 17 she got plastic surgery to shrink her nose and get rid of the dark rings under her eyes.

Christina was married five times. Her first marriage ended in divorce because her father didn't approve. Terry Roussel was the only man whom she had a child with, Athina Roussel. This relationship ended in tragedy more than a year after Christina became aware that Terry had been having an afair with a Swedish model. Onassis was unable to compete with this model's beauty, despite her wealth, and eventually Terry left her.

Christina lost her immediate family all withing a period of 24 months. Her father's health had started to deteriate after Alexander's death and her mother had committed suicide, something which Christina had attempted to do a couple of times herself.

She died at age 37 of pulmonary edema. Experts say that her premature death was caused by constant drug abuse and dramatic changes in weight.
