The logical fallacy of composition ascribes properties of a component of something to the thing itself. In a way it is the reverse of the division fallacy.
Examples:
- The atoms in this chemical compound are invisible, so the compound must also be invisible.
- Scandinavians are strong and brave, so Scandinavian countries must have the most powerful military forces in the world.
