Conference USA is a college athletic conference which stretches from Texas in the west to Florida in the east. The conference participates in the NCAA's Division I-A.
There are fifteen member schools:
- University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)
- University of Cincinnati
- DePaul University (non-football member)
- East Carolina University
- University of Houston
- University of Louisville
- Marquette University (non-football member)
- University of Memphis
- University of North Carolina at Charlotte (Charlotte) (non-football member)
- Saint Louis University (non-football member)
- University of South Florida
- University of Southern Mississippi (Southern Miss)
- Texas Christian University
- Tulane University
- United States Military Academy (Army) (football-only member)
In 2005, five of the current members will leave for the Big East: Cincinnati, DePaul, Louisville, Marquette, and South Florida. They will be replaced by the University of Central Florida, Marshall University, Rice University, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Tulsa.
Also in 2005, Saint Louis and Charlotte will depart for the Atlantic Ten Conference.
Member schools participate in football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, baseball, cross country, golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, women's swimming, tennis and track and field.
