Corporate immune response is a negative reaction to change within a large corporation.

When a corporation is split into several divisions, it is common to find that different groups are working on similar projects. In these situations a siege mentality can set in, whereby each group feels that the others are a threat. They then organize various managers into battle lines in order to have the other project killed off. This is almost always the result of bad management, who should be keeping such problems under control.

Apple Computer of the early 1990s, and IBM for much of its existence, are good examples of companies that suffered from such problems.
