The Crow's Nest Pass is a mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains on the borders of Alberta and British Columbia. The pass is named after the Crow First Nation which lived in the area. In 1898 a branch of the Canadian Pacific Railway was built rhoguh the pass, mostly to exploit the areas large coal fields. Today the pass is crossed by Highway 3 and an oil pipe line as well. It is southern most of Canada's major Rocky Mountain passes.
