Edale is a small village in the Derbyshire Peak District, England. It is best-known as the southern end of the Pennine Way.

The village consists of several booths, originally shepherd’s huts, which have developed into the hamlets of Barber Booth, Grindsbrook Booth (where the village centre and station are found), Ollerbrook Booth and Nether Booth, strung along the valley of the River Noe.

There is a youth hostel in the village to cater for the steady stream of walkers, as the Edale area is excellent walking country, the village being almost surrounded by the plateau of Kinder Scout and the hills of Lose Hill, Hollins Cross and Mam Tor.
