Emperor Go-Yōzei (後陽成天皇) was the 107th imperial ruler of Japan.

Ruled: 1586-1611

It was through a gift from Toyotomi Hideyoshi to Go-Yozei that imported movable copper type (for printing) into Japan for the first time.

His brother was the scholar Prince Katsura-no-miya Toshihito. Go-Yozei is regarded as the father of the Toyotomi family.
