Exeter Township is a township located in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 748.

Geography

United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 8.8 km² (3.4 mi²). 8.1 km² (3.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 7.94% water.

census of 2000, there are 748 people, 315 households, and 206 families residing in the township. The population density is 92.3/km² (239.0/mi²). There are 403 housing units at an average density of 49.7/km² (128.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.33% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.53% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.13% from two or more races. 0.40% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 315 households out of which 28.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.0% are married couples living together, 8.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.6% are non-families. 31.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.37 and the average family size is 2.98. In the township the population is spread out with 22.1% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 29.0% from 25 to 44, 29.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.4% who are 65 years of age or older.
