The Expansionist Party of the United States is a fringe group which advocates the territorial expansion of the United States of America. Their ultimate goal is the unification of world government under the United States Constitution.
The Expansionist Party's self-declared presidential candidate in 2000 was L. Craig Schoonmaker, the party's co-founder. Because the Expansionist Party is not officially registered as a political party anywhere within the U.S. and has never participated in an election as a party, Schoonmaker's filed for his presidential run as an Independent.
