Fanta is a product of the Coca-Cola company. It was invented by Max Keith in Germany in 1940 when WW2 made it difficult to get the Coca-Cola syrup to Germany. Fanta was originally made from bi products of cheese and jam production. The name comes from phantastisch. After WW2 Fanta was picked up by the main company and in 1960 they bought the trademark.
