Farmington Township is a township located in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 1,986.

Geography

United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 162.1 km² (62.6 mi²). 161.6 km² (62.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.27% water.

census of 2000, there are 1,986 people, 818 households, and 561 families residing in the township. The population density is 12.3/km² (31.8/mi²). There are 1,750 housing units at an average density of 10.8/km² (28.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.40% White, 0.20% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.15% from two or more races. 0.15% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 818 households out of which 27.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.0% are married couples living together, 5.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.3% are non-families. 27.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.43 and the average family size is 2.95. In the township the population is spread out with 21.9% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 29.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 102.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 105.2 males.
