Complete lyrics at the Motherpage

The lyrics are exceedingly simple. The singer is the foot soldiers' thrill instructor (possibly the same one as in Uncle Jam, though sung by Clinton instead of Wynne) and exhorts his charges to get Funky. This is intended as being the national anthem of Funkadelic (see P Funk mythology).
