A lot of people there want GNV to have air access to Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, and a fundraiser was established to try to persuade Continental Airlines into flying there. Recently, American Airlines has also offered to begin regional jet service to both Miami International Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, prompting Continental to counter-bid with an offer to serve George Bush Intercontinental Airport as well.
