The Gaume is a region in the extreme south of Belgium and its altitude is lower than the Ardennes. The region is limited with a boundary with France and Luxembourg and the belgian Ardennes in the north.
The temperature in Gaume is often 1 °C to 3 °C higher than the other part of Belgium because of the microclimate.
The Gaume has a local historical slang : "Le patois gaumais" (somewhat related to the Walloon slang). This slang is in lethargy but various local authors try to bring it back to life.
It is a destination for tourism in Belgium.
