Now Emeritus Professor at Nottingham University, he has collaborated with (inter alia) J. Lennard-Jones, A.T. Amos, K. Collard, and D. Rees. He is a member of the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science, and received D. Eng. Honoris Causa from the university at Kyoto.
