It was founded in 1829 by orthodox Baptists and is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Georgetown College offers many undergraduate degrees and a Master of Arts in Education. The school's sports teams are called the Tigers and they participate in the NAIA and the Mid-South Conference.
