Googoosh (گوگوش in Persian), born Fa'eghe Atashin (فائقه آتشین in Persian) is a famous Iranian female pop singer who didn't sing for more than twenty years after the Islamic Revolution of Iran, which banned public performance of female singers. She is believed to be the most popular Persian singer in history.
