Phase 05: Phase Shift Down
The three Gundams fly toward Archangel’s rear from the Nasca Class Battleship. They all activated their Phase Shifts. In Archangel, they have been reported three heat signatures approaching their rear. Chandra tells them their mobile suits, but they did not find out they are Gundams. Natarle orders the battle commands. She tells missiles and linear cannons to prepare. Then Chandra identifies the mobile suit are the 3 Gundams. Chandra tells they are X numbers, Duel, Buster, and Blitz. The crews are all shocked that they are using all the powerful Gundams they stole. In the front Aegis approaches Archangel’s rear and Athrun sees a mobile suit. In Strike, Kira sees one a mobile suit He then remembers Mwu’s words, only think about protecting. Strike then flies toward the mobiles suit. Kira sees Athrun and Athrun see Kira. Yzak tells the other Gundams that Aegis has launched out, he tells Athrun to not get behind. On Archangel, Marrue orders the CIC. Natarle then wakes up and orders to fire the missiles. Aegis pulls out a light saber and Strike pulls out its own. Strike and Aegis fly by each other. Kira then gets a message from Athrun. Athrun tells him to put down his saber away. He tells him that they both are not enemies. He asks Kira why they have to fight. Kira doesn’t answer. Athrun tells him he is a coordinator too and asks why he has to fight against them. Missiles hits Duel, but did no harm. Yzak tells that he will fight against the other Gundam with Asuran and he tells the others to go for the ship. Nical acknowledges and shoots some missiles down. Buster shoots down a bunch of flying missiles at the same time. Yzak jokes him that no complaints, but it’s a big trophy. Dreaka gets angry. Archangel continues to fire at Buster and Blitz. Kira notices Archangel’s trouble, but Aegis blocks the way. Athrun tells him to stop it. He asks why he has to fight with the Naturals. Kira tells him that he’s not with the Earth Alliance, but he has to protect his friends. Kira then asks Athrun why he is in ZAFT. Athrun looks in shock. Kira asks why he is in war. Kira reminds him that once he said he hated war. He asks why he attacked Helopolis. Athrun looks down and answers him because Naturals don’t understand the situation built the Gundams. Kira argues that Helopolis is neutral. Then he gets fired at. Strike dodges. Yzak yells at Athrun what he is doing. Athrun then notices him. Kira looks at his screen and sees all the stolen Gundams are here. Yzak fires at Kira’s shield. It defects it. Buster and Blitz head for Archangel. Bullets hits Blitz following some missiles. Blitz gets stopped. Buster fires at Archangel. Archangel gets hit on the bunker. Archangel gets shaken, but there is no damaged. Duel continues to attack Strike, Kira is trying to escape. Then he finally forces himself to fight. Strike grabs its gun and fires at Duel. Buster fires a bunch of missiles at Archangel, but their guns fires at them. Dreaka tells them that their weapons can’t get through it. Nical tells Dreaka to cover him because he is going to attack under. Blitz goes under, but Marrue notices it. She tells them to turn a degree downward. Natarle orders the guns below to fire. Archangel’s giant fusion cannon fire at Buster, but Buster dodges. Blitz fires back. On Vesalius, they get information of the enemy ship getting closer. They also hear that there is one Gundam defending. Raww asks that if that other mobile armor can’t launch. Ades asks if it’s ok to think that way. Raww then smiles. In below the wreckage, Mobuis Zero gets closer to Vesalius. Kira continues to fire at Duel. Each time he misses, the energy level grows lower. Duel pulls out his saber and attacks Strike, but Strike blocks with its shield. Asuran watches the fight. On Vesalius, Raww orders them to shoot Archangel. Ades argues that their allies are around. Raww tells him he’s not stupid to shoot at allies. Mobuis gets closer and closer to them. On Archangel they got a message that they have been locked on. Natarle yells at the Marrue, but she doesn’t do anything. Natarle then tells Archangel to prepare to fire. Marrue stops her and tells her that Mwu is near them. Natarle argues. Everyone asks what Asuran is doing. Raww then sense that Zero is coming. He orders them to launch from there. Then they got a heat signal bellow them. Ades orders to activate the shields full strength. He then tells them to stern 60 degrees. Zero charges at Vesalius and uses all its firepower against it. Zero damages the wings and Mwu screams in triumph. They get reports that they are damaged. Raww gets angry and orders to shoot it down, but they can’t. Raww curses Mwu. He then orders them all to retreat. Everyone in Archangel hears it and in joy. Marrue sighs in relief and orders them to shoot Vesalius. Everyone in the Gundams heard the news. Yzak curses because Archangel’s cannons begin the fire. It fires and it almost hits Zero. Raww orders Vesalius to evade it. The cannon hit the left wing and people on board get killed. Raww gets angry. Marrue hears that they are damaged and Marrue orders Strike to retreat. Yzak sees the retreat signal and chases Kira. Kira gets surrounded by the Gundams. Athrun orders Yzak to retreat, but Yzak calls him a coward. Milly calls for Kira, but he doesn’t respond. Marrue orders to back him up. Natarle tells her she is worried about Strikes power supply and Marrue tells her she knows. Marrue tells Mwu and Mwu curses Kira. The 3 Gundams fire at Strike. Kira fires his last shot and then the power went out. Strikes phase shift goes out. Strike flies away, but Yzak gets closer with its saber. Then Aegis out of nowhere grabs Kira in time. Archangel gets a message that Strike has been captured. Yzak asks what the hell he is doing. Athrun tells him hes capturing it and flies away. Yzak curses. On Archangel, the signal of Strike is getting more far away. Then Marrue gets a message from Mwu to prepare launcher-striker. Kira asks what Athrun is doing. Athrun tells him he is taking him to Gamow. Kira argues that hes not going to a ZAFT ship. Athrun tells him he is one of them. Kira argues, but Athrun yells at him that if not, he’ll have to shoot him. Kira is in shock. Athrun then reveals that his mother died on Bloody Valentine. Then Zero came and fires at Aegis. Aegis lets go of Strike. Mwu tells Kira to retreat and they’ll launch launcher-striker. Kira looks at Athrun one last time and thinks about his friends on board. Then he tells Mwu he understands. Athrun yells for Kira. Buster and Duel chases him. Archangel backs up Strike. Aegis and Blitz fights Mwu. Duel flies past Buster. Dreaka tells Yzak to come back, but he doesn’t listen. Strike goes into the launch path and then Archangel launches launcher-striker. It gets closer and closer, but Yzak locks on Kira. Kira notice and Yzak fires at him. It makes a big explosion. Everyone stops fight and looks toward the big explosion. Yzak asks himself that did he get him, but then a beam shot his arm and melts arm. Strike fires at Duel and the other Gundams. Athrun tells Yzak to retreat. Yzak asks what he is talking about, but Nical tells about their power supply running out. Yzak shakes in rage. Buster grabs Duel and they all retreat. At a room Yzak chokes Athrun for stopping him fight. He is in rage that all 4 Gundams couldn’t kill off one. Dreaka tells Athrun it’s his entire fault because of his insubordination. Athrun looks away. Nical comes in and stops them. Yzak pushes Athrun away and Yzak and Dreaka leave the room. Then Nical tells him that he too thinks that that was unlike Athrun in a polite way, but Athrun tells him to leave him alone. Athrun leaves the room. When the door closes he slams his fists on the wall and says Kira’s name.
On Archangel’s dock Kira doesn’t come out of Strike. Mwu opens the cockpit and sees Kira sitting in there and sobbing. Mwu tells him to come out. He releases his hands and tells him they’re all safe because of him. Kira then looks at his hands.
On Vesalius, Raww gets a letter that they are to come back to the PLANT. Raww then tells them they Gamow is to continue the chase and orders Athrun to come back to them because they are leaving.
In Archangel Mwu met up with Kira again. Mwu grabs Kira by the shoulders and said something in is ear. Mwu tells that since the Strike is now locked, he can only use it. On the deck some Earth officers come in from Artemis. Marrue and Natarle greet them. Archangel enters Artemis. They land on their port, but outside of the port are a lot of soldiers with guns. Marrue and Natarle ask what is going on and the officer tells Marrue to don’t talk.
