Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index The Ha'Penny Bridge is a pedestrian bridge over the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland. Originally called the Wellington Bridge (after the Duke of Wellington), the bridge got its now universal name from both its distinct shape and the original toll of half a penny. The bridge was built in 1816. In 2001 the bridge was closed for repair, re-opening in 2003 restored to its original condition. This article is from Wikipedia.
