Hyarmendacil II was the twenty-fourth King of Gondor in J. R. R. Tolkiens universe of Middle-earth.

He was the son of King Aldamir and reigned from T.A. 1540 till T.A. 1621.

Aldamir was slain in a war with the Haradrim in 1540 and Vinyarion as Hyarmendacil was called then, wished to avenge Aldamir's death.

He accomplished this in T.A. 1551 with an astounding victory over the Haradrim and it was then when he proclaimed himself Hyarmendacil II (after his famous predecessor from the twelfth century T.A.)

He was succeeded by his son Minardil
