Inagh, in the County of Clare, Ireland, is located about 9 miles ( 15 km ) west of Ennis on the Ennistymon road and consists of seven townlands lying north-east of Mount Callan. In ancient times its Gaelic name meant the fetid or foul district of Cinel Fearmaic and Cormaic. It derives its more modern name from the Gaelic teampul dubhg na hEidhbighe, meaning the black church of the ivy.
