The ioras are a family of small passerine bird species found in India and southeast Asia. They one of only two bird families that are entirely endemic to the Indomalayan ecozone. They were formerly grouped with the leafbirds in the family Irenidae.

These are bulbul-like birds of open forest or thorn scrub, but whereas that group tends to be drab in coloration, leafbirds are sexually dimorphic, with the males being brightly plumaged in yellows and greens.

Ioras eat insects and spiders. They lay 2-3 eggs in a tree nest.
