Joćo Pessoa is the capital of Paraķba State located in Northeastern Brazil. It's the state's biggest and most important city which has a population of about 620,000 inhabitants that represents about one sixth of the state population. Tourism is one of its economic activities that is starting to increase altogether with some factories in different industrial sectors such as construction, food and metallurgical ones. It also has some industries related to sugar cane fields. Joćo Pessoa has lots of green areas widespread on the avenues, parks and districts which gives it a very pleasant panorama wherever people go. It's a modern capital combining new blocks of flats and big buildings with historic ones from the colonial times.
