Kevin Wayne Jeter (born 1950) is an American science fiction author known for his literary writing style, dark themes, and paranoid, unsympathetic characters. Many of his books focus on the subjective nature of reality in a way that is reminiscent of the works of his longtime friend, Philip K. Dick.

As well as his own original novels, K. W. Jeter has written a number of authorized sequels to Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, the story that was adapted into the critically acclaimed 1982 motion picture Blade Runner.

Even though Mr. Jeter regularly writes novels for Alien Nation, Star Wars and various Star Trek franchises, he also continues to publish original books and screenplays.

He currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife, Geri.
