The name probably comes from the drink's usual effect on its drinker, caused by a high but well-masked alcohol content, coupled with a tendency to drink them as shooters. Ingredients 1 measure vodka 1 measure Triple Sec or Cointreau 1 measure lime juice Shake with ice. Strain into glass. The exact proportions are a matter of debate. The amount of vodka is often increased or even replaced with Everclear (95% distilled alcohol).
