Kayla Rolland was the six-year-old girl killed on February 29, 2000 by a first grade classmate in the Theo J. Buell Elementary School in Flint, Michigan. The name of the shooter is often not given owing to his age. The boy's mother, Tamarla Owens, allowed the boy to live in a crack house with his uncle. The boy's father was in jail for a parole violation.
