Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index A kharja (spanish jarcha) is a special piece of a popular song which was appended to Arabic poems (muwashakhas) in Medieval Spain. It is written in mozarabic (in the arabic alphabet). Many of the kharjas are little poems featuring girls talking about their lovers.
