Kristelig Folkeparti (KrF), the Christian Democratic Party, is a Norwegian political party founded in 1933.

One of the bigger political parties in Norway, it is currently in government position together with Høyre (the conservative Party) and Venstre (the social liberal Party).

Party leader is Valgerd Svarstad Haugland. Prime Minister from KrF is Kjell Magne Bondevik

Valgerd Svarstad Haugland has announced that she will withdraw as the leader of the party at the extraordinary annual meeting Januar 24 2004. Some of the main candidates for the position are Dagfinn Høybråten and to a lesser extent Jon Lilletun. The main reason of her withdrawel is that she was blamed for the bad results of the party at the last local election held in September 2003.
